Encouragement

OK, I'm really excited about this Blog...so excited that I'm not going to say much. On Sunday Mike challenged us to be encouragers. We talked some more about it that afternoon. Now lets put some action to this. I'd like everyone to just take a second to post a comment encouraging someone in our group. Let's hit a lot of people.

Note to everyone: most of the people who read this blog all attend the same church so we know each other. I do know that there are also many people who read this who don't go to our church, and thus don't know everyone (first let me say how glad I am that you read this!). Here is my challenge to you. Encourage someone else today. Post a comment on their blog, send an email, call them on the phone, or even send a letter.

Ready, set, go...

Ralph- we should call you the Mayor because you care about others as much as politicians pretend to around election time! Thanks for being so sincere.

Well, I just can't stop

Alyssa- you're such a good listener. You've always been a great friend to me!

Brian- you are a great worker. Thanks for all the things you do around the church to help us have a home.

Liz- cudo's for your dress code. It is a great example for the young ladies of the church.

Jes- you challenge me to depend on God more. Your questions and transparency help me to realize how much growing I still have to do.

Mark- You encourage me by always helping. You are just always there. Thanks for being dependable.

Brock- it is cool to see a Christian coach who is dedicated to seeing their kids succeed. You are a great example to them. Keep it up.

Lindsay- it was cool to see a coach who cared about the gymnastics girls. I know that you are impacting them. It is so cool to watch you and Darcy showing these girls the love of Christ.

more to come later...

This is fun!!! What a great idea:) Hard to figure out how to post a comment when you aren't a blogger... Only that's ok cause I figured it out:)

Darin- You have always been a good friend to me too. You always knew when to listen, when to hold me accountable, when to give me a reality check (which at the time I REALLY didn’t like, but ALWAYS needed), and when to make me laugh… And you were always there to offer a helping hand… even though sometimes I know I took that for granted… I’m sorry for that…

Darcy- You are truly one of the most genuine people I have met. You are always there to be supportive and say something sweet right when I need it. Thank you for offering yourself as a safe place for me…

Jessica- Wow… again a friend I think I take for granted… Jess, my favorite thing about you is that we are so different and pretty much 80% of the time I know you are thinking, “what in the heck is she doing”, or, “UMMM… I don’t think that this is a good idea Lys…” But even though you pretty much NEVER understand what and why I do the things I do, you always TRY to understand… and are ALWAYS supportive of me, and encouraging to me…

Lindsay- Again I say, has anyone ever met a sweeter person then Lindsay?? Lindsay, since our families are so close, I feel like you are part of my family and I love that! You have a way of making people feel safe and accepted no matter what…and you are always there to offer a smile and a hug.

I love all of you very much!
