Life is more

For the past month I have not been alive. Yes, technically my heart was still beating, my body was still moving, and I was driving back and forth from work to practice every day. These might all be signs of life...but a lifeless robot could have done them just as well.

I have allowed stresses and business in my life to shut down some pretty important things. During this time I have spent little time laughing, loving, encouraging, and simply being with people. These things are the true signs of life.

So this week God has been once again working on me. He has reminded me several times that I need to slow down, disengage, and resume living.

This morning I read these verses from Luke 12:22-23

"Then Jesus said to his disciples: 'Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothes.'"

I encourage you to truely live today. Remember that no matter how important everything around you is, Life is more.
